Idaho Youth Apprenticeship - Combining education and employment as students earn while they learn

Please join us for our first in person Professional Development meeting since February 2020! 

The Youth Apprenticeship Program connects people aged 16-24, to training and careers in Idaho. Building workforce-ready labor requires a collaborative effort among government, business, and education.

Our guest Speaker, Roger Plothow,  spent 37 years as a journalist, including 22 as CEO, vice president, editor and publisher for newspapers in Idaho and Utah. He has a master’s degree from Gonzaga University in Communication and Leadership Studies and is a member of the National Communications Honor Society. He joined Idaho Business for Education’s Youth Apprenticeship Program in 2020 as its Business Development and Program Manager for eastern Idaho, where he has lived for 25 years. He is also a member of the adjunct faculty at Gonzaga University and College of Eastern Idaho.

The Youth Apprenticeship Program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Labor, designed to create, support and sustain youth apprenticeships in Idaho.

Options to attend: In Person at the Bee's Knees or virtually through Zoom. Zoom will be a live stream, not recorded. Virtual registration must be done by 10:00 am the day of the event to guarantee you receive the link on time.

If you register for in person and need to switch to virtual, email scecil@criadvantage.com. We will not be able to refund you the difference. If you register for Virtual and attend in person, please bring cash for the difference in price. 

This session will be submitted for one (1) SHRM and HRCI certification credits.
